Oregon and Colorado prices are for licensed sessions, usually one day, and many centres bill the psilocybin product separately; this table leaves that fee out. Use the estimator above for a centre's own figures.

Programme price
The centre's own published price for the programme, in the currency it publishes, read on the date shown on its profile. Converted to US dollars at the european central bank, euro foreign exchange reference rates of 28 October 2026 (ECB): 1 EUR = 1.11 USD and 1 GBP = 1.33 USD. Microdosing and low-dose formats are listed after full-dose programmes.
Flights
Rough return economy ranges set by us by great-circle distance from a main hub in your region (Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Toronto, London, Frankfurt or Sydney) to the arrival airport. No public source publishes average fares for these routes, so the bands are anchored on the one official average we could cite: the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics's average US domestic round-trip itinerary fare, second quarter 2026, $549 (BTS, 29 September 2026). Fares move with season, booking time and your actual airport.

Hotel nights
Half to all of the US government's maximum lodging rate for the arrival area. It is the ceiling a government traveller may claim for a mid-range business hotel, so it is a citable yardstick, not a price we checked. Residential retreats include accommodation for the programme itself, so only the extra nights you choose are counted.

Airport transfers
Rough ranges set by us for the round trip, from a shared shuttle or train (low) to a private driver (high) over the usual distance from that airport. Not from a fare table. Where a centre lists transfers in what is included, the line is $0.
- Portland (PDX): $40 to $150, rideshare or taxi within the region.
- Denver (DEN): $40 to $150, train or rideshare within the region.
- Montego Bay (MBJ): $120 to $500, shared shuttle to private driver, up to about 2.5 hours each way.
- Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS): $25 to $120, train to taxi.
- San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO): $120 to $600, shared shuttle to private driver; some coastal venues are 4 hours or more away.
- Liberia, Guanacaste (LIR): $100 to $400, shared shuttle to private driver.
- Cancun (CUN): $80 to $300, shared shuttle to private driver (Tulum is about 2 hours).
- Puerto Vallarta (PVR): $60 to $200, shared shuttle to private driver.
- Mexico City (MEX): $150 to $400, private driver, about 2.5 to 3 hours each way.
- Faro (FAO): $60 to $240, shared shuttle to private driver within the Algarve.
Travel insurance
4% to 10% of the prepaid trip (programme and flights): comprehensive plans typically cost 4% to 10% of prepaid, non-refundable trip costs, according to Squaremouth, How much does travel insurance cost.
What is left out
Meals outside the programme, visas and entry fees, tips, time off work, and anything after you get home, such as integration sessions you book separately. If you take any medication, check the interaction checker before you pay a deposit.

How much does a psilocybin retreat cost in total, with travel?
For a typical published programme plus 2 hotel nights, transfers and insurance, our estimates from the US East Coast run from about $2,350 to $3,400 (Oregon) to $7,850 to $9,350 (Mexico). The programme price is the centre's own published figure; flights, hotels, transfers and insurance are estimates with the method stated on this page.
Where do the flight figures come from?
They are rough ranges we set by distance band, not quotes or a fare survey. The anchor is the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics average domestic round-trip fare for the second quarter of 2026, $549; longer routes are placed in higher bands. Check real fares before you book.
How are hotel nights estimated?
From the US government's published maximum lodging rates for each area: GSA per diem rates for Portland and Denver, and the State Department's foreign per diem rates elsewhere. We use half the rate as the low end and the full rate as the high end. They are a yardstick for a mid-range hotel, not prices we checked.
Do I need travel insurance for a retreat?
It is your choice, but a retreat is usually prepaid and non-refundable close to the date. Comprehensive plans typically cost 4% to 10% of prepaid trip costs, according to Squaremouth. Read the exclusions before you buy, including anything linked to drug use or to the law where you are going.
When a retreat or licensed centre is the better choice
If you take any medication on the interaction checker, have a personal or family history of psychosis or bipolar disorder, have a heart condition, or have nobody sober and steady to sit with you, a setting with screening and trained staff is the safer choice. In trials, participants were screened first and supported by trained monitors throughout.
