Disclosure
Last updated 28 October 2026.
This is how the site makes money, in line with the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guides. Readers pay nothing.
Featured placement
A centre can pay a flat fee, the same for every centre, to be labelled “Featured”. Featured centres appear first in lists and carry the label everywhere they appear. Featured placement never changes a centre's legal status, public record, safety notes or Verified checks, and it is not a recommendation.
Verified checks
A centre can pay $295 a year for us to check its facility licence and its physicians' registrations on official registers. We show only checks that pass, each with what it covers and what it does not. The fee is charged whether or not a check passes. A check is not an inspection or a safety rating and never changes the order of any list.
Commissions
We may in future earn a commission from some retreat centres outside the United States when a reader books after finding them here. Any such centre will be labelled on its profile and in every list, and its links will be marked as sponsored. A commission never changes the order of any list, a public record, safety notes, legal status or Verified checks. No commissions are in place today.
We never take a commission, referral fee or per-booking payment from:
- US addiction and substance-use treatment providers, recovery residences and laboratories. [18 U.S.C. 220 (EKRA)] [18 U.S.C. 24(b), health care benefit program] [Florida Patient Brokering Act, s. 817.505]
- Any US healthcare provider or clinic, including ketamine and Spravato (esketamine) clinics. [42 U.S.C. 1320a-7b(b) (Anti-Kickback Statute)] [Texas Occupations Code 102.001] [California Business and Professions Code 650]
- Clinical-trial sponsors and trial sites. [AMA Code of Medical Ethics, Opinion 11.3.4]
- Oregon and Colorado state-licensed psilocybin service centres, healing centres and facilitators. [OAR 333-333-1010(7) and (37), 333-333-4040(1) and (5) (Oregon)] [ORS 475A.280 (Oregon)] [1 CCR 213-1, Rules 1025, 2120(A) and 2140(E) (Colorado)] [4 CCR 755-1, Rules 6.20(E) and 6.21(E) (Colorado)]
What money never buys
- A listing for a centre that does not meet how we list.
- The removal or softening of a public record entry.
- A different description of the law.
