Psilocybin law in Jamaica

Legal or unscheduled Checked 11 October 2026

Psilocybin mushrooms are not listed in Jamaica's Dangerous Drugs Act. A government minister said in 2021 that growing them is legal, but there is no licensing regime, and the health ministry has warned that no psilocybin products are approved.

Psilocybin (or the form named) is not listed in the national drug law. That is not licensing: nobody inspects retreats. A summary of published sources, not legal advice.
