Integration, and what to ask for

How many centres include integration support, and the questions that tell you what it means.

Figures from the listings, updated 27 October 2026.

Integration means the conversations after a psilocybin experience about what came up and what, if anything, to change. Centres use the word for very different things: a single call, a weekly group for a year, or a line on a price list. The useful question is never whether a centre offers integration but what exactly it includes.

What centres include

Abroad, 22 of 25 centres name integration in their inclusions. In Oregon and Colorado, of 169 licensed programmes that say what they include, 150 include integration, 1 say it costs extra, and the rest do not say.

In the centres' own words:

Questions worth asking

  • How many integration sessions, of what length, and for how many weeks after?
  • Who leads them: the same facilitator, a therapist, or a group host?
  • Is it one-to-one or a group, and is it online or in person?
  • Is it in the price, and what happens if you need more support than that?

If you already see a therapist, tell them about the retreat beforehand. Integration with someone who knows you is often worth more than a package.
