Team

Rob Ó Cobhthaigh (co-founder, psychotherapist) and Julia Gantner (psychotherapist, psychiatric nurse) are named for the Costa Rica group retreat; the team page also names co-founder Dr Darragh Stewart PhD and screening practitioner Michael Ledden (psychotherapist), among others

Screening

"Each successful application will receive an hour consultation with a psychotherapist to ensure our retreats are mutually suitable." The Costa Rica programme lists a Medical Screening Form, and travel should not be booked until the psychotherapist screening call confirms participation. Not suitable for people on psychiatric medication including SSRIs; FAQ says clients should come off SSRIs "at least 3-6 weeks before our retreat in conjunction with medical advice".

The law where it operates

Illegal but tolerated in practice: psilocybin is on Costa Rica's national control list and unauthorised supply carries 8 to 15 years in prison, yet retreats operate openly and we found no reported prosecution of one.

Prohibited under national law. Retreats operate openly and we found no reported prosecution of a retreat. That can change without notice, and participants and operators carry real legal risk.
