Screening

"All guests complete a detailed medical intake form when booking their stay to be reviewed by the medical staff." Lithium "is a disqualifying medication" and needs a 30-day washout. SSRIs/SNRIs "can blunt the effects of psilocybin" and dosing may need adjusting. MAOIs need careful clinical assessment. Active psychosis or a history of psychotic disorders, and Bipolar I, are listed as contraindications.

The law where it operates

Illegal but tolerated in practice: psilocybin and hallucinogenic mushrooms are group I psychotropics under Mexico's General Health Law, yet retreats advertise openly and we found no reported prosecution of a psilocybin retreat.

Prohibited under national law. Retreats operate openly and we found no reported prosecution of a retreat. That can change without notice, and participants and operators carry real legal risk.
